Kaidan Project: Unity Cloud/Google Play/Android Consultant

Project Website

Rogue Artists Ensemble a not for profit theater company in Los Angeles is seeking a consultant to support development of an immersive theater app using the Unity platform.

Kaidan Project: Alone is divided up into two main portions — The main element is a five-chapter long campaign (each chapter is about 10–15 min) and is complemented by a series of GPS activated experiences taking place in and around Little Tokyo.

Main campaign — This is an audio-driven experience using mainly 2D assets (imported as sprites) placed in a 3D space to create a unique highly theatrical look that is interactive. In addition, we’re using AR to create moments of storytelling that take place in the real world.

We are connecting the main story to the history and ghost stories within Little Tokyo using a simple AR / GPS driven map experience. Participants can walk in Little Tokyo and use their camera to see spirits floating and listen to community members telling their real ghost stories.

We are looking for a consultant with experience in the Google Play store and Unity Cloud build systems to help us with creating a simple method for pushing builds to the Google Play platform. We are also looking for support with optimization in regards to the Universal Render Pipeline and post processing effects specifically on the Android platform.

Our goal launch date for the GPS experience is March 2021 with the full app launching in Fall 2021. Consultant positions are paid and offered credit in the final app.

Interested folks should submit a resume and intro letter to jobs(at)rogueartists.org.
