While audiences will be on location, actors will work from home and make contact with the audience via phone.
What we are looking for:
– actors 18+ of any gender, cultural background and geographical location
– (semi) professional experience in acting
– experience with improvisation and/or going off script
– capable of empathy and a genuine interest in talking to others

Secret City is seeking experienced and dynamic performers for an immersive and theatrical murder mystery dining experience that revolves around a group of renowned chefs. In the years following their graduation from culinary school, each member of this famed group of chefs has found success. But things take a dark turn when Maribelle discovers a dark secret about one of their classmates. Determined to expose the culprit, Maribelle designs an elaborate event attended by a who’s who of the culinary industry, at which she will reveal the truth.

This expert in technologies for extended reality (XR) will be a critical part of a highly collaborative team devoted to transdisciplinary approaches to public impact through the creative use of technology. This appointment requires in-person instruction on both the Tempe Campus and at the MIX Center in downtown Mesa.

The New Original Works Festival is a three-week interdisciplinary program supporting new work by LA-based artists. All artistic teams receive an artist fee, rehearsal space, and technical support to develop new work. Since the first edition in 2004, NOW Festival has presented the work of over 200 L.A.-based artists, whose work continues to be seen on stages throughout the U.S. and abroad.
- Applicants and/or primary collaborator must be based in the Southern California region for application consideration. (See Proposed Project section for details)
- Only ONE submission per applicant/company will be considered. Please do not propose the same project multiple times under different names.
- Only online work samples will be accepted. In advance of submitting your online application, upload a 3 to 5 minute work sample to an online platform, such as Vimeo, SoundCloud, YouTube, etc.
