A social experience that occurs 100% on your phone through your texts, as you communicate with the one other player. A satirical digital comedy with a pinch of suspense. A temporary cure for our sitting-duck anxiety during our global health crisis…
Months ago, you “won a date” with a New York semi-famous Broadway actor / Instagram influencer. But the world looked different then… Today, definitely way too soon after the World Health Organization announced a truly terrifying global pandemic, the actor texts you to finally set up your adorable plans together [prayer hands emoji]. But his true intentions may come to light.
Instructions: After you reserve your ticket you’ll be contacted by the actor’s assistant. She’ll remind you how much you adore him, and she’ll provide several windows of time for him to text you to setup plans. Once you select a time, the texting with him will begin at said time. Your phone must be on and stay on. There is no intermission.
It is strongly encouraged for your enjoyment that:
- you first turn off or drown out with headphones all other distractions (e.g. the TV, your roommate’s music, outdoor sounds)
- you remain in one location for the duration (e.g. on your couch, or perhaps a toilet)Each audience-participant can only experience this once.
Duration: Approx 20 mins. Possibly longer if you two become just the best of friends!
Important Note: At the end of the experience, which is entertainment intended to briefly take your mind off anxiety, you’re then encouraged to turn your thoughts to important info: how to donate right now to relieve global first responders and patients. Those donations to specific causes will be strongly encouraged. Also, in general, please wash your hands and cough on nothing if you can.
