We’ve been fielding questions for a few months now about when the next big Summit that brings our immersive & experiential community is going to be, and now are excited to announce an evolution we’ve been working on for months.

On March 27–29, 2020 we invite you to join us HERE, in Pasadena, CA for the HERE Summit at the Pasadena Playhouse, a three day event that will carry on the tradition of the Immersive Design Summit that was started by Adventure Design Group, Epic Immersive, and No Proscenium.

We’re proud to have the Pasadena Playhouse — both the oldest operating and the official state theater of California — play host to the event. We’ll be expanding on the programming of previous years’ events, running for three full days, and be able to increase the total number of attendees to 300 for the full weekend, with select events having additional capacity. We thank Danny Feldman, Producing Artistic Director of the Playhouse, for working with us to bring the Summit to life.

In addition, we’ll be fundraising in order to present immersive work to Summit attendees and the general public alongside our keynotes, workshops, salons, and community events.

The original team behind IDS is taking on new roles, and we’re adding some new voices as we form a non-profit organization that will produce HERE and become the publisher of No Proscenium.

IDS co-founder Gabe Smedresman (ADG) will lead our programming efforts as Summit Programming chair. For the 2020 Summit he’ll be joined by Negin Singh, executive director of the Santa Monica Pier, who will serve as this year’s co-chair. IDS co-founder Steve Boyle (Epic Immersive) will serve as Creative Producer and Outreach Director for the organization. Eric Vosmeier will serve as Producer of the Summit and Director of Events for the organization. IDS co-founder Noah Nelson (No Proscenium) will serve as Executive Director of the organization.

Additional information about the organization will be announced in the coming weeks, as will our 2020 speakers, on-sale date, and details on the application process for subsidized tickets.
